Why I hate recruitment agencys

I received this email (below) today. It caught my attention so I opened it. Please note the highlighted job that the recruitment agency said I would be a good fit for based on my resume:

The last time I checked, I’m not a lawyer. Not only am I not a lawyer, I never went to Law School NOR have I have ever considered going to Law School.

This is the number 9,598 reason why I do not like recruitment agencies. If I forward this to my contact at this agency, they would say “Well, there is probably a keyword that triggered you to get this.” Well, first off, the subject was “Stephen, employers need Marketing and Creative talent in 2024“, since when is a Corporate Counsel a Marketing and Creative talent? Second off, as someone who does email marketing, CLICK THE RIGHT BUTTON! It’s not hard, and if that person can’t do it, HIRE ME!
